The Lawnside Historical Society elected by acclamation an unopposed slate of new officers at its meeting on March 13.

They are: Linda Waller, president; C. Joyce Fowler, vice president; Christine Y. Tingle, treasurer; Chrissandra Butler, recording secretary; Sakinah Higgs, corresponding secretary, and Gloria Goodman, financial secretary.

As part of the re-organization of the Society, several committees will be activated, including membership and docents.

Prospective members are encouraged to come to the Society meeting on the second Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Lawnside School Library, 426 E. Charleston Ave. Call (856) 546-8850 for information.
