The African American Genealogy Group of Philadelphia comes back to the Lawnside Historical Society in May for two hands-on sessions on using the Internet in genealogical research, "Surfing for Ancestors: Tracing Your Family History Online," at the Lawnside Public School, 426 E. Charleston Ave.
The sessions will be led by Shamele Jordon, recording secretary of AAGG, a well-known presenter at genealogical conferences and a webmaster for several genealogy sites, including her Toomer family's site.
This series is presented with support from the Camden County Cultural and Heritage Commission and the New Jersey Historical Commission, Department of State.
Participants are asked to pay $2 per session. The schedule follows:
